The shortcomings of LED panel lights are mainly the problems of poor uniformity of light emission and short life of enclosed materials. Although the expected advantages of white LEDs cannot be applied, from the perspective of demand, this is not only a general The use of lighting, but with the wide application of mobile phones, tv, automobiles and other industries, has led to widespread attention in the most suitable technology research results for the development of white LEDs.

There are currently two major directions for improving the luminous efficiency of white LEDs. One is to increase the area of the LED chip, thereby increasing the amount of light emitted. The second is to package several small chips together under the same module to increase the amount of light emitted by increasing the chip area. Although the area of the LED chip is enlarged to obtain a much higher brightness, the area is too large. In the application process and results will also be counterproductive. Therefore, in response to such problems, some LED manufacturers have improved the surface of the chip based on the improvement of the electrode structure and the flip chip structure to achieve a luminous efficiency of 50lm/W.

For example, in the part of the LED panel lamp flip chip package, because the light emitting layer is very close to the light guide plate package, when the light of the light emitting layer is radiated to the outside, the electrode will not be shielded, but the disadvantage is that the generated heat is not easily dissipated.

It is not that after improving the surface of the chip, adding the chip area can definitely increase the brightness quickly, because when the light diffuses from the inside of the chip, these improved parts of the chip cannot be reflected, so there will be a little bit of light extraction Limits, according to calculations, the size of the LED chip that best exerts light efficiency is around 7mm2.

Of course, this approach will also lead to some inevitable problems, for example, because multiple LEDs are packaged on the same module, some insulating material must be placed to avoid short circuit between LED chips. It will increase the cost a lot. But in terms of environmental protection, this has more advantages than disadvantages.
